Bill & Leigh’s Awesome Alaskan Adventures


Warm sunny weather and calm seas found Wyomingites Bill and Leigh catching MONSTER Lingcod and Yelloweye off remote pinnacles until their arms were jelly and they had enough of the toothy critters from under the “Neath!” Can you believe how HUGE those Lingcod are? Awesome! Other highlights were touring and anchoring near “Bird Island” and enjoying all the Puffins, Murres, Guillemots and Bald Eagles... watching big, wild Brown Bear up close and personal & catching big Steelhead in front of thundering waterfalls... Jon & Casey Go Fishing in Alaska


“FISH ON” was the yell heard on the “GLACIER” within 2 minutes of getting the hooks into the water. “Reel, reel, reel” was the chant as cousins Jonathan and Casey Edwards cranked in fish after fish on the first day of a 4 day trip. The Coho bite was hot and Jonathan’s arms were tired when we finally dropped the anchor on Day 1. Highlights of the trip were beachcombing remote ocean beaches for all sorts of far away treasures, shrimping in remote scenic fjords using all the fish carcasses they caught earlier, jigging up fish after fish and trying to guess what was on …

WOWAWEA! That’s what my 3 year old niece says if something is spectacular and that’s what Tom Enright and Pat Garrett said many times on our June 28-July 2, 2012 fishing extravaganza!  Those boys put the hammer down on some fish and had the trip of a lifetime aboard the “GLACIER”. The fishing was excellent for King Salmon as Tom caught his first King within 5 minutes of getting his hook in the water and that was followed by so many fish that we lost track of time, numbers and what day it was.
